St Michael's Mount

St. Michael's Mount is situated two miles east of Penzance. It is a small 14th century castle perched on a granite island. When the tide is out it is possible to walk across a cobbled causeway but when submerged there is a frequent boat service. Tours of this National Trust property, home of the St Aubyn family, can be made.
