Gardens
- The Lost Gardens of Heligan
- The people at Heligan have re-established a working community, a "living
museum", with a vision for the future. Today, ten years on, the
award winning restoration of Heligan is internationally acclaimed.
Retrieved from dereliction, its productive gardens form a stunning
geometric patchwork of hundreds of varieties of fruit and vegetables,
and its overgrown pleasure grounds are re-emerging in their finery once
more. Heligan is ready again to set the standards for others to follow.
- Glendurgan Gardens - Set in a wooded valley running
down to the Helford River, rich in fine trees and rare and exotic
plants, Glenurgan is one of the great sub-tropical gardens of the South
West. Children love the Giant's Stride and the maze. For more details

- Trengwainton Gardens - Intimate and closely linked to
the stream running through its valley, the garden leads up to a terrace
and summer house with splendid views of Mount's Bay and The Lizard.
Sheltered, virtually frost free and with a famous collection of tender
trees and exotic shrubs, and walled gardens, it is a delight to visit at
any time of the year. For more details call : (01736) 363021
- Trelissick Gardens - This tranquil garden is renowned
for its glorious maritime views down Carrick roads towards the sea.
Trelissick has been planted with an abundance of those tender shrubs so
characteristic of Cornwall - magnolias, camellias and rhododendrons -
with so many rare varieties of hydrangeas and a newly-developed Cornish
apple orchard. Sweeping parkland and riverside woods encircle the
estate, through which walks may be enjoyed all year round. Trelissick
Gallery is well known for its displays of local art and crafts. For more
